Day to day you will check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots; press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching; keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure; operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments; spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts; fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press. Ideal candidate: • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment Full-time, day shift.
