Now hiring: we are hiring a carpenter in City and Borough of Leeds, England. On a typical shift you will apply edge banding, veneers and laminate to board; measure and mark out timber using a tape, square and marking gauge; cut sheet material and timber with a circular saw, jigsaw and table saw; fix studwork and plasterboard partitions; assemble bespoke and flat-pack kitchen units and fit worktops; build and erect roof trusses, rafters and stud partitions. What we are looking for: • Own basic hand tools • Physically fit to lift, kneel and work at height • Confident with hand and power tools such as saws, routers and planers Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough. £5,100 per project, negotiable for the right hands. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
