Concrete worker wanted in Elkhart County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a concrete worker in Elkhart County, Indiana. The job is on a building construction site. Day-to-day duties: • Discharge and place concrete from transit mixers and pumps into the forms • Cut control and expansion joints at the correct spacing • Carry out slump tests and cast cubes for the lab • Cure slabs by ponding, wet hessian or curing compound for the required days • Lay PCC blinding and the damp-proof membrane over the prepared subgrade • Erect and align timber and steel shuttering before each pour Ideal candidate: • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long hours on your feet • Able to read structural drawings and bar bending schedules • ITI in masonry or civil work an added advantage 3+ years on the tools preferred.
