Metal caster wanted in Bladen County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a metal caster in Bladen County, North Carolina. You will work at a brass and bronze foundry. Requirements: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts The role involves prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture.
