On the job you will handle: • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters Requirements: • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through Rotating shifts.
