Fire and safety officer — Morrow County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a fire and safety officer in Morrow County, Oregon. You will be based in a chemical processing unit. You should have: • Sound knowledge of local OSH and factory act regulations • Confident enough to halt unsafe work on the spot • Valid first aid and basic firefighting training Day-to-day duties: • Check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements • Audit housekeeping and barricading around excavations and open edges • Take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry • Run the permit-to-work system for hot work and confined-space entry Full-time with occasional weekends.
