Gas appliance installer • Shelby County, Texas

Great opportunity: we are hiring a gas appliance installer in Shelby County, Texas. You will work at a heating and plumbing contractor. Your main tasks: • Check every joint for leaks with soapy water and leak-detection spray • Lay and route steel and copper gas pipe runs to the appliance points • Locate and repair gas leaks and replace corroded pipe sections • Carry out tightness (pressure) tests with a manometer and lock off the supply • Connect combi boilers, water heaters and gas cookers to the supply • Set and adjust regulator outlet pressure with a gauge Requirements: • Physically fit for lifting pipe, meters and cylinders • Competent in pipe threading, brazing and PE electrofusion • Able to read isometric and site drawings $4,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Meals and transport allowance provided. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
