Great opportunity: pipe tig welder (Scotland)

Join our team: we are hiring a pipe tig welder in Aberdeen City, Scotland. Requirements: • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection On the job you will handle: • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run At least 2 year(s) in a similar role. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
