Reinforcement steel fixer — Richland County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a reinforcement steel fixer in Richland County, South Carolina. The role involves place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing; fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover; form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions; lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors; keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust; bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine. Ideal candidate: • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites • Comfortable working at height and in deep excavations Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
