Great opportunity: structural MIG welder (New York)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a structural MIG welder in Nassau County, New York. The job is in a heavy engineering unit. Day to day you will set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator; clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead; check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration; change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch; load ER70S-6 wire spools and check the drive rolls. Requirements: • Able to read weld symbols and fabrication drawings • 2+ years on MIG/MAG (GMAW) welding • Able to pass a 3G/4G plate test At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
