Urgent requirement: we are hiring a carpenter in West Feliciana Parish, Louisiana. You will be based on a residential housebuilding project. Requirements: • Physically fit to lift, kneel and work at height • Able to read technical drawings and cutting lists • Sound knowledge of timber types, grades and fixings Day to day you will finish surfaces with varnish, wax, lacquer or wood stain; apply edge banding, veneers and laminate to board; build and erect roof trusses, rafters and stud partitions; glue, clamp, screw and dowel joints together; assemble bespoke and flat-pack kitchen units and fit worktops; cut sheet material and timber with a circular saw, jigsaw and table saw. 6+ years on the tools preferred. Pay around $2,900 per month, based on your experience. Meals and transport allowance provided. Full-time, day shift. Apply today to start as soon as possible.
