The role involves: • Use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics • Operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments • Keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure • Give each garment a final press before packing • Press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching • Check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots Requirements: • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment $3,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
