Immediate opening: we are hiring an ironing operator in West Lothian, Scotland. Your main tasks: • Operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments • Remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics • Keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure Ideal candidate: • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep • Physically fit to lift bundles and handle repetitive work Six days a week, one day off.
