On the job you will handle: • Reverse and carry out blind-side manoeuvres at loading bays • Couple and uncouple the trailer and check the fifth-wheel lock • Secure loads with ratchet straps, chains and load bars • Log working hours on the tachograph and swap driver cards • Check tyre pressures, engine oil, coolant and brake fluid levels • Operate tail-lifts and pump trucks during loading and unloading Ideal candidate: • Clean driving record with no recent endorsements • Willing to take on night and multi-day trips Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
