Pipe TIG welder — Bridgend county borough

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a pipe TIG welder in Bridgend county borough, Wales. You will work at an automotive body and exhaust shop. You will feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool; clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding; set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks; read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing; sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
