Now hiring: we are hiring a presser in Urue Offong/Oruko, Akwa Ibom State. Requirements: • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory Day-to-day duties: • Press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching • Hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing • Check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots • Fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press • Clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents • Operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
