Aluminium tig welder wanted in Sangamon County

We are recruiting: we are hiring an aluminium tig welder in Sangamon County, Illinois. What we are looking for: • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight You will run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints; feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle; inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion; weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions; prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run. At least 4 year(s) in a similar role. Rotating shifts. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. $170 per day, negotiable for the right hands. Share your details and we will call you back.
