Requirements: • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry Day to day you will check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities; operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant.
