Fabricator-welder wanted in Schuyler County

Now hiring: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in Schuyler County, New York. Your main tasks: • Weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through • Keep the arc length and travel speed consistent • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush What we are looking for: • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety Rotating shifts.
