Great opportunity: we are hiring a rebar worker in Hancock County, Maine. You will be based on a civil engineering bridge and roads site. Requirements: • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites • Willing to work outdoors in all weather and to tight pour dates On a typical shift you will place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing; install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat; fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings; lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman; bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine; lap and splice bars to the specified lap length.
