Vacancy available: we are hiring a stainless steel welder in Monroe County, Illinois. The job is at a stainless steel fabrication shop. The role involves: • Read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion Ideal candidate: • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances Full-time with occasional weekends.
