Now hiring: we are hiring a rigger in City of Manassas Park, Virginia. You will work in a steel fabrication yard. On a typical shift you will carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle; read lift plans and method statements before starting; rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position; inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use; check sling angles to stay within the working load limit; direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio. What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces • Confident with standard crane hand signals Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. Part-time with flexible hours. Meals and transport allowance provided. Walk-in interviews this week.
