Now hiring: we are hiring a fire and safety officer in Nsit Ibom, Akwa Ibom State. You will work at a busy construction site. What we are looking for: • Able to read and prepare RAMS and method statements • Sound knowledge of local OSH and factory act regulations Day to day you will run the permit-to-work system for hot work and confined-space entry; stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action; enforce lockout-tagout (LOTO) on energised and rotating equipment; carry out toolbox talks with the crew before each shift; check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements. 1+ years on the tools preferred.
