Immediate opening: cold room technician (New York)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a cold room technician in Orange County, New York. You will be based at a supermarket cold-chain site. You will read suction and discharge pressures on the manifold gauges; braze copper pipework and joints with an oxy-acetylene torch; measure the compressor motor's amperage draw with a clamp meter; check superheat and subcooling and trim the charge; charge systems with refrigerant (R134a, R410a, R404a) to the correct weight. Requirements: • Comfortable handling refrigerant gases and gauge manifolds • Able to braze copper and silver-solder joints At least 6 year(s) in a similar role. Part-time with flexible hours.
