Immediate opening: we are hiring a cnc lathe setter in Scott County, Kansas. You will work at a busy machine shop. Day-to-day duties: • Run first-off inspection and sign off the part • Write and edit G-code programs at the control • Run facing, turning, boring, grooving and threading cycles • Change worn carbide inserts and monitor tool wear • Deburr and chamfer machined parts by hand • Set up workpieces in three-jaw chucks and collets What we are looking for: • Willing to work rotating day and night shifts • ITI / NCVT certificate in the machinist (turner) trade preferred At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
