Steel fixing chargehand — Saint Mary's County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a steel fixing chargehand in Saint Mary's County, Maryland. You will work at a high-rise construction project. On the job you will handle: • Keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust • Check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour • Tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers • Fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover • Lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman You should have: • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing • Able to read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Valid site safety card and PPE (helmet, boots, gloves) At least 6 year(s) in a similar role. $4,500 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
