Great opportunity: die-casting operator (Indiana)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a die-casting operator in Grant County, Indiana. You will be based at a busy iron foundry. You should have: • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor The role involves: • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch 5+ years on the tools preferred. We offer $4,900 per month plus benefits. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
