Join our team: we are hiring a fettler in Trigg County, Kentucky. You will work at a brass and bronze foundry. Requirements: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor You will assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes.
