Foundry labourer wanted in Taylor County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a foundry labourer in Taylor County, West Virginia. You will be based in the melting bay of a steel foundry. What we are looking for: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding You will prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings.
