Join our team: we are hiring a GTAW welder in Vermilion Parish, Louisiana. You will work in a sheet-metal fabrication unit. The role involves: • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run • Weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal Ideal candidate: • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard Six days a week, one day off.
