Now hiring: we are hiring a shuttering and concrete hand in Effingham County, Georgia. The job is at a precast concrete yard. On a typical shift you will cure slabs by ponding, wet hessian or curing compound for the required days; give broom or steel-trowel finishes as specified; cut control and expansion joints at the correct spacing; patch honeycombs and tie-rod holes with non-shrink grout; erect and align timber and steel shuttering before each pour. What we are looking for: • Hands-on with poker vibrators, power floats and concrete mixers • Able to work to tight pour schedules and night pours Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. $3,300 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
