Immediate opening: we are hiring a shuttering carpenter in Wyandotte County, Kansas. Ideal candidate: • Sound understanding of props, bracing and load-bearing • Skilled with circular saw, hand tools and spirit level • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long shifts Day to day you will seal panel joints and hold the correct concrete cover to prevent grout loss; check alignment with spirit level, plumb bob and string line; set up adjustable steel props and falsework to support the slab decking; watch the formwork during concreting and tighten up any movement; repair damaged plywood and timber shutters; read formwork drawings and setting-out marks to position the shutters.
