Vertical transportation technician wanted in Tazewell County

Now hiring: we are hiring a vertical transportation technician in Tazewell County, Illinois. Your main tasks: • Set and test the overspeed governor and safety gear • Test buffers, final limit switches and the emergency brake • Replace worn sheaves, rollers, contactors and relays • Respond to entrapment call-outs and release trapped passengers • Run load and overload tests with test weights • Wire up the controller, encoder and limit switches Ideal candidate: • Willing to join the on-call/emergency breakdown rota • Physically fit to lift heavy components and crawl in tight spaces • Comfortable working at height and in confined hoistways 1+ years on the tools preferred. $22 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
