Great opportunity: we are hiring a plant operator in Webster County, Nebraska. You will be based in an open-cast quarry. Requirements: • Valid CPCS/NPORS card or local heavy-equipment licence • Comfortable with GPS or laser machine control • Sound understanding of daily maintenance and greasing The role involves: • Strip and stockpile topsoil ready for reuse • Work safely around buried services with a banksman or spotter • Work to laser, GPS or 2D/3D machine-control guidance • Lift and place pipes, manholes and precast sections with the bucket and chains • Backfill trenches and compact the fill in layers • Grade, level and batter slopes to the required gradient Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
