Precision welder — Churchill County

Now hiring: we are hiring a precision welder in Churchill County, Nevada. You will work in a food and dairy equipment factory. The role involves: • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges • Read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper Requirements: • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Own basic hand tools and PPE Rotating shifts.
