Great opportunity: we are hiring a sample machinist in Richmond County, New York. You will work in a sampling and tailoring workshop. You should have: • Quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown Day to day you will stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance; inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes; attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet; set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers. Part-time with flexible hours. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Pay around $4,600 per month, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
