Machinist wanted in City and Borough of Birmingham

Vacancy available: we are hiring a machinist in City and Borough of Birmingham, England. The job is on an export house sewing floor. Ideal candidate: • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus On the job you will handle: • Operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line • Inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift • Meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality • Topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish • Keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line Six days a week, one day off. £2,850 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
