Pipe TIG welder • Northumberland, England

Vacancy available: we are hiring a pipe TIG welder in Northumberland, England. You will work in a sheet-metal fabrication unit. You should have: • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage Your main tasks: • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
