Confectioner — Borough of Oldham

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a confectioner in Borough of Oldham, England. The job is at an in-store supermarket bakery. You should have: • Familiar with deck, rack and convection ovens • 2+ years' experience as a baker • Accurate at weighing and following recipes Your main tasks: • Grease and clean baking trays, tins and moulds • Proof and fry doughnuts, then glaze them • Load and unload the deck oven with a peel • Weigh and mix flour, yeast, water and salt to the day's recipe • Laminate puff and croissant dough by folding in the butter • Boil sugar syrup for glazes and icing Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
