Rigging foreman wanted in Clay County

Join our team: we are hiring a rigging foreman in Clay County, Iowa. You will be based on a high-rise building site. On a typical shift you will establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area; rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position; tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear; secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists; inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use; attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks. What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear Full-time with occasional weekends.
