Now hiring: we are hiring a scaffolding erector in Houston County, Texas. The job is at a shipyard. Your main tasks: • Read scaffold drawings and work to the agreed loading class • Hoist tubes, boards and fittings up by gin wheel and rope • Tie the scaffold back to the building with through-ties and anchors • Erect tube-and-fitting and system scaffolds such as Cuplok and Kwikstage • Fix transoms and bracing to keep the structure square and rigid • Install ladder access and ladder gates between the lifts Requirements: • Awareness of TG20 and SG4 safe working practice • Full use of harness, lanyard and fall-arrest equipment • Physically fit for repeated heavy lifting of tubes and boards At least 1 year(s) in a similar role. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
