Vacancy available: we are hiring a heavy equipment operator in Saline County, Missouri. The job is at a road-building project. Requirements: • Able to read levels, pegs and basic site drawings • Good depth perception and hand-eye coordination • Willing to work at remote sites and mines on a roster On a typical shift you will keep the cab clean and complete the daily machine logbook; excavate trenches and foundations to the marked depths and grade levels; backfill and compact soil around pipes and foundations; level and grade the road sub-base to the surveyor's pegs and string lines. Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. Rotating shifts. Overtime paid at a premium rate. $4,700 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
