Gypsum plasterer — Newport County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a gypsum plasterer in Newport County, Rhode Island. You will be based on a commercial fit-out project. The role involves skim plasterboard to a smooth finish ready for decoration; apply tanking and renovating plaster to damp walls; apply bonding and browning undercoats to brickwork and blockwork; fix and set angle beads, stop beads and corner beads. Requirements: • Knowledge of different plasters, renders and bonding agents • Able to mix plaster to the right consistency by feel • Willing to work on both new build and refurbishment sites Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
