Now hiring: we are hiring a garden maintenance worker in DeKalb County, Missouri. The job is in a botanical garden. On the job you will handle: • Water beds and lawns and set up drip irrigation lines • Prune hedges, shrubs and ornamental trees with secateurs and hedge trimmers • Dig over and turn the soil and prepare seedbeds • Operate strimmers, leaf blowers and brush cutters • Plant seasonal bedding plants, bulbs and saplings • Check and adjust sprinkler timers and irrigation heads Requirements: • Pesticide spraying certificate (PA1/PA6) an advantage • Previous experience as a gardener or in grounds maintenance 2+ years on the tools preferred.
