Immediate opening: we are hiring a rebar fixer in Essex, England. The job is on a civil engineering bridge and roads site. You will read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules; fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings; fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover; lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman. What we are looking for: • Willing to work outdoors in all weather and to tight pour dates • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites Six days a week, one day off.
