Argon welder wanted in Montour County

We are recruiting: we are hiring an argon welder in Montour County, Pennsylvania. On a typical shift you will clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding; back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise; sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks. Ideal candidate: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols Full-time with occasional weekends.
