Pipe tig welder — Igalamela-Odolu

Vacancy available: we are hiring a pipe tig welder in Igalamela-Odolu, Kogi State. You will work at a precision engineering workshop. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day Day to day you will clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding; grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; carry out 6G pipe welds where required; run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints; strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode.
