Join our team: we are hiring a foundry worker in Metcalfe County, Kentucky. Ideal candidate: • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling Day-to-day duties: • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
