Tig welder wanted in South Ayrshire

Great opportunity: we are hiring a tig welder in South Ayrshire, Scotland. You will be based in a food and dairy equipment factory. Day-to-day duties: • Read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode You should have: • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection Full-time, day shift.
