Argon welder wanted in Saint Joseph County

We are recruiting: we are hiring an argon welder in Saint Joseph County, Michigan. You will work on a structural steel site. Requirements: • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols Your main tasks: • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Keep the arc length and travel speed consistent • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. $2,800 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
